マルス シングルモルト駒ヶ岳 40th Anniversary Special Edition

1985年、後に世界から注目される原酒を送り出すことになるウイスキーの蒸溜所が、長野県の南信州、中央アルプス・駒ヶ岳山麓にマルス駒ヶ岳蒸溜所（旧・マルス信州蒸溜所）としてその産声を上げます。

ここではマルスウイスキーの歴史やバックグラウンドなどは多く語りません。
ただ日本のウイスキー創世記に非常に大きく関わり、今なお影響を及ぼしていることは間違いありません。
そしてそれは多くのウイスキーラヴァーが求めるものが「ここにある」ということが、素晴らしウイスキーを造り出している何よりの証拠だと思います。

今回リリースされる【シングルモルト駒ヶ岳 40th Anniversary Special Edition】は、マルス駒ヶ岳蒸溜所操業以来のモルト原酒、1980年代、1990年代、2010年代、2020年代のモルト原酒をヴァッティングした特別なシングルモルトウイスキーです。
＊2000年代はマルス駒ヶ岳蒸溜所の稼働を停止していたため含まれません。

In 1985, a whisky distillery destined to produce spirits that would one day capture the attention of the world was born in the southern region of Nagano—on the forested foothills of Mt. Komagatake in the Central Alps.
This was the beginning of the Mars Komagatake Distillery (formerly Mars Shinshu Distillery).

We won’t delve deeply into the long history or background of Mars Whisky here.
But its influence on the earliest chapters of Japanese whisky—an influence that still resonates today—is undeniable.
And the fact that so many whisky lovers continue to seek out what Mars creates is, in itself, the clearest proof of the quality found here.

The upcoming release, Single Malt Komagatake – 40th Anniversary Special Edition, is a truly exceptional whisky: a vatting of malt whiskies distilled throughout the distillery’s operating history—from the 1980s, 1990s, 2010s, and 2020s.
(The 2000s are excluded, as the distillery was temporarily inactive during that decade.)
