長野県諏訪市には僅か数百メートルの間に５つの酒蔵が立ち並びます。
その中の【舞姫】から限定発売される「桜楓」は1894年に酒造を始めた頃に特別な日本酒だけに与えられた銘柄です。
しかし1912年、舞姫という銘柄に統一されて以来その名は使われなくなりました。

今回限定で復活した特別な日本酒「桜楓・純米吟醸」は、長野県産山恵錦とアルプス酵母を贅沢に使用し、長野を思わせる林檎のような果実感と香りを楽しめる特別な日本酒です。

日本酒度-3.5という数値を重視してしまいがちですが、注目していただきたいのは酸度。
この酸度が2.1もあり、さらにアルプス酵母を使用しているという点に注目です。
甘味と酸味のバランスがとても良く、アルプス酵母らしい吟醸香がまさに林檎のようなテクスチャーを醸し出しています。
輪郭がしっかりしているにも関わらず、柔らかく飲み心地の優しい純米吟醸です。』

Limited Junmai Ginjo — Only 1,200 Bottles Produced

In Suwa City, Nagano Prefecture, five sake breweries stand within just a few hundred meters of one another—a rare and remarkable sight.
Among them is Maihime Brewery, where this special sake, “Ouka”, is released in limited quantities.

The name Ouka dates back to 1894, when Maihime first began brewing sake and reserved this label only for its most exceptional creations.
However, after the brand name “Maihime” was unified in 1912, Ouka quietly disappeared—until now.

Revived for this limited release, Ouka Junmai Ginjo is brewed using Nagano-grown Sankei Nishiki rice and the prized Alps yeast.
The result is a beautifully expressive sake, offering fresh, apple-like fruit aromas and flavors that evoke the crisp air and landscapes of Nagano.
