Located at the northernmost tip of Nagano prefecture, right on the border with Niigata, Kadoguchi Syuzoten is a sake brewery nestled deep in the snowy mountains. While the Hokushin region of Nagano is know for sake with a solid, structured profile, their “Hokko Masamune ー Yukiakari” offers a refreshingly different experience. Brewed in an area that sees over three meters of snowfall each winter, this sake is incredibly smooth and clear on the palate, with a refined ginjo aroma that gently drifts through your nose.
